Summer Camp Movement And Art

Movement and Art Summer Camp for kids.

They will take part in Gymnastics, Dance, Yoga, Games, Arts & Crafts activities.

Join us this summer to learn some new skills, play fun active games, try out different dance styles, work on some colourful art creations, and learn how to be mindful and how to visualise and use our imaginations during yoga. All this in a fun, safe, and creative environment.

Dates:

Week One 8th to the 12th of July

Week Two 15th to the 19th July

Time: 9:30 to 13:00

Age Groups:  4 to 7 and 8 to 13 years old

Location: The sports hall at Saint Mary’s College, located at 73-79, Rathmines Rd Lower, Dublin 6. (Enter via the side entrance on Military road and go around the back of the school to the big sports hall – Father Barry Hall)

Cost:

One Week €125 (sibling discount 10%)

Two Weeks €230 (sibling discount 10%)

Who are the teachers?

Chloe is an ex-competitive gymnast who won several national titles as a junior code gymnast back in the day. She is qualified with Gymnastics Ireland. She has 10 years experience coaching and 8 years experience judging competitions. She runs weekly classes for kids from pre-school up to 6th class.

She coached a competitive gymnastics team for years, leading them to many national titles but has now decided to focus on the fun recreational side of the sport. Her focus is how to help children work on their flexibility, strength, coordination and skills in a fun and safe environment.

Chloe also attended dance classes for most of her childhood and continued this passion into adulthood when she studied dance full-time for two years, gaining her higher national diploma in dance. She teaches weekly dance classes. Chloe will be joined by two ex-competitive national gymnasts to assist with the camp.

Elaine is a qualified yoga teacher and the owner of Enchanted Yoga, which is geared towards yoga for children and inclusive family yoga.

Elaine teaches yoga through the medium of storytelling and adventures for younger children. The classes are factually-based for older children but there is still lots of games.  For the tweens, she focuses more on correct alignment and emotional well being. Her classes focus on mainly Hatha Yoga which is physical yoga. It involves the use of breathing techniques, physical poses, games and relaxation. She is excited to share some stories and adventures this Summer!
